The post graduate department of economics has been introduced in the college from the year 2008-09.
Admission to the M.A. programme begins after the University of Pune declares the B.A. examination results. Admission forms for M.A. programme can be obtained from the college.
Admission to the M.A. programme is based on marks obtained by the student at B.A. level. NO entrance / interview. Students with B.A. (Economics) are eligible to apply to the M.A. programme. Graduates from other streams can also apply..
The department follows the reservation policy of the University (as prescribed by the State Government).
Course Structure and Curriculum:
The semester system is being followed for the M.A. programme. Every semester a candidate has to appear for three compulsory papers. Apart from the compulsory papers, the candidate is required to offer one optional paper each semester. The following are the compulsory and optional papers offered by the Department of Economics:
The students will have THREE Core courses and will have to select ONE.

| Qualified applicants are admitted to the first year of the BA degree on a first-applied, first-admitted basis (called Open Admissions). However the Govt. rules and regulations regarding admissions are strictly adhered to. |
