Ms. Monali Bidkar and Ruta churi, from S. Y. B. Sc. Microbiology won first prize and gold medal in Botanica, 2009,intercollegiate compition, organized by Wadia College, Pune.
A course based on pharamaceutical techniques by Mr. K.B. Satpute ( Deputy manager, Serum Institute, India)for M.Sc. Microbiology students.
Three BCUD projects were sanctioned of total Rs 6,00,000/-to the three staff members of the department.

Our P.G. students Ms. Shradhha Bashetti and Ms. Sonal Mankar, have selected and won an avishkar trophy at state level, organized by University of Pune.

‘Microcosm Documentary club’ is establish to aid understand the subject more comprehensivly.
‘Certificate course in Pharmaceutical techniques’ has been started to develop industry oriented skills for M. Sc. Microbiology students
Poster / model presentations competitions are conducted by the department.
Department has associations with National institutes and Universities such as University of Pune, NCL, NCCS, NARI, NIV, where the students are allowed to do their projects.
